Cottage Delight was founded in 1974 by Nigel Cope, creating handmade fudge in his kitchen at home in the Staffordshire Moorlands. Over the subsequent years Nigel’s’ passion for quality and taste grew the Cottage Delight range to include jams, marmalades, curds, chutneys, table sauces and many more delectable delights. Four delicious decades later, Nigel has retired but his ethos is still a huge part of Cottage Delight. Residing at our home in the heart of the Staffordshire Moorlands we still even create Nigel’s original fudge recipe today.
Our incredible journey would not have been possible without the support of the independent trade and we remain loyal to these local retailers. Our range is only available to independent garden centres, farm shops, delis, butcher’s shops and selected department stores. You can also find us at local fine food festivals, shows and farmers markets where you can always sample a selection of our tempting treats.
We don’t just create our own delicious recipes. We also seek out and collaborate with global artisan producers from across the world to carefully curate extra special recipes to share with our foodie fans. Our level of dedication to traditional methods and quality ingredients is paramount, and this is reflected with our huge total of 178 Great Taste Award wins to date. As well as our exciting range of fantastic flavours, Cottage Delight is also synonymous with Christmas, thanks to our lovingly hand-crafted gift range.
As we continue into our 45th year and beyond, it’s our mission to bring inspiration to your kitchen and variety to your table, to provide possibility and potential, with a touch of sparkle. Because our juicy jams are not just for spreading over toast, and our chunky chutneys are not just for serving with cheese. We believe in thinking deeper about food and bringing people of all ages together to explore new ways to enjoy food and embark on their own flavour adventures. Because we believe that great taste makes great times, and great times are always worth celebrating!Read
