About company

WELCOME TO THE BEAUTIFUL ISLE OF BUTE. This tiny Scottish island is the inspiration behind Isle of Bute Gin. Small batch distilled with a nostalgic heart and a modern head, our gins are a combination of Scotland’s rich distilling history and new world gin trends.

Head Distiller, Simon Tardivel, has worked all over the world as a multi-award-winning brewer and alcohol expert, before falling in love with the Isle of Bute while living there. He sourced botanicals from the island and nearby areas, to create unique craft gins.

Welcome to the beautiful Isle of Bute. This tiny Scottish island is the inspiration behind Isle of Bute Small Batch Gins, crafted with love and care in the west of Scotland.

Head Distiller, Simon Tardivel, has worked all over the world as a multi-award-winning brewer and alcohol expert, before falling in love with the Isle of Bute while living there. He sourced botanicals from the island and nearby areas, to create unique craft gins.

It was here he was inspired to create what he believes to be the world’s first Oyster Gin. Charging his still with oysters, fresh from the Argyll Coast and a mix of citrus and local botanical. This subtle savoury gin is a real treat, it is perfectly paired with seafood and provides the ideal base for a dry martini.

Distilled on our tradition copper pot still and bottled by hand on our Oyster, Gorse, Heather, Oaked and Island Gin each seek to showcase the true spirit of Scotland.
