Our range based on the idea that a good quality, small batch spirit should not cost the earth. We designed our 40% Bristol Dry Gin as a good quality, everyday gin that can be garnished with a simple lime wedge and mixed with any decent tonic water available. Instead of suggesting perfect serves, we encourage people to experiment with different types and brands of tonic water and garnishes to find out what works for them.
We launched Bristol Spirits Collective at the start of 2017 and are now stocked in many bars and restaurants across the country. Several hotels including the Doyle Collection, Hampton by Hilton and The Grand stock our gins and use our miniature in their rooms. We are also available through Master of Malt, Farmdrop and Harvey Nichols, where Bristol Dry Gin performed rather well in their gin category. We also won ‘Best Local Spirit’ in last years Bristol Good Food Awards.
During weekends we open our distillery and host mixed group tasting sessions for the public. These sessions include a host of local or small batch gins, including our own, and a few samples of the more unusual distillates we have available at the time.
For bars and other stockists of our gin, we offer free tastings sessions that are designed to focus solely on our own range and give attending staff a better idea of what they are selling. These sessions are more technical in nature, providing an in depth explanation of how our gin is made, how botanical recipes are engineered and how to mix our final products. We invite all attendees spend a half day distilling with us, as a result we currently house two bi-weekly volunteers.
All these sessions usually done by James, our junior distiller or myself. It would be good to have a group from Enotria around at some point, to see what we do, and try some of the experimental distillates we produce on a monthly basis.Read
