Island Gin

Made by husband and wife team at their Scilly Spirit Distillery on the enchanting Isles of Scilly, the most south westerly point of the UK. This multi award winning Island Gin is a truly authentic, delicious, artisan gin, with genuine provenance and the owner’s total commitment.

TASTING NOTES:

NOSE – A lovely balance of piney juniper, piquancy of cardamom, with a hint of orange, then herbal lime leaf and warm notes of cassia.

PALATE – Full and rounded in the mouth, with soft citrus and juniper on the fore, followed by layers of fennel, a fruity peppery note and subtle spice.  The savoury tones of the pepper and cardamom are balanced by a touch of sweetness from the orange, fennel and cassia.

FINISH – A delicious rounded gin which fills the palate.  Once the juniper and citrus notes fade, the spice, pepper and cardamom remain, with a warm, sweet close from the cassia. Unusually we don’t use coriander in our gin, as we feel the kaffir lime leaf delivers the subtle citrus notes, encouraging another sip!
